Banuta has over ten years of experience as a communication consultant, providing individual and group training to managers, sales teams and executives. Her clients include Stentor, Bell Canada, Royal Bank of Canada and Hewlett-Packard, to name a few.
Because of her extensive knowledge of business and government, Banuta was engaged by a Canadian international development agency to provide communication consulting services to the Latvian government as it prepared for and achieved its goal of joining the European Union in 2004.
Banuta is a Canadian Rhodes Scholar with a doctorate in history. She began her career as a writer, director and producer in theatre and other media. She has written 12 works for the stage, and several of her plays are taught in Canadian universities and high schools. She often draws on her directorial experience to coach individuals and uses her analytical skills to assess her clients and provide feedback.
Banuta speaks English, German, French, Latvian and minimal Russian.
